Round 7: Cats up to Scratch at Hamer Park!

Sunday against Eastern Hills Cats saw both teams  short so we played 15 a side, Frank Ward crossing over to the Cats to help out for numbers.
 
The Cats flew out of the blocks and posted 3 of the first 4 goals and then added another before the break. Saints came back hard in the 2nd quarter keeping the Cats goal less and booting 5 with Emmet & Homer the most damaging in front of goal.
 
The 3rd quarter was pretty even but we managed to get the better of them as far as goals go by a couple. 

The last quarter saw 2 goals and a handful of points to Eastern Hills. The Saints ran out puff just with the one goal but a sensational one kicked on the run from 55 out by Clint one of our newest recruits.

Was hard conditions, with the setting sun late in the day so it was hard for the forwards at the city end of the ground to see the ball coming in or who was carrying it for that matter.

The umpiring was pretty good and the game was fairly free flowing across the 4 quarters.

We missed the run and courage of KP who missed through a knee injury and we wish him a quick recovery.
