The Southern Saints Veterans Football Club was formed in 1986 to cater for the Southern Suburbs footballers who were keen to get out and have a kick after their big league days had come to an end.
The club has recently moved home ground to Harmony Fields Maddington from 2009 and is reaping the rewards with an influx of new players who have been received well by the faithful.
A new logo was commissioned in 2007 to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the club and to market the club in a new light going forward. Last season we unveiled the new club jumper with the new logo prominently displayed for all to see. An emphasis on good fun, good sportsmanship and no one getting hurt is the main priority of the club which follows the league's ethos of 'Footy For Kicks'. Family members are all welcome and kids are sure to have a good time on game day as most venues offer face painting or bouncy castles to keep them amused. Laughing at Dad trying to get a kick is also a great fun for all involved. There is usually BBQ facilities, a canteen, bar and a Cappuccino Xpress Van (For the Mum's) available at most venues.
